MACOMB, Ill.- Anne Borgertpoepping (Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna) has been named as the Western Illinois Scholar-Athlete of the Week for performances on the court and in the classroom.

Borgertpoepping led the Fighting Leathernecks (11-19) with a game-high 20 points in Western's upset over No. 2 seed Oakland, 68-57, on Sautrday, March 6 in quarterfinal action of The Summit League Tournament.

She was 6-for-10 from the floor and was 7-for-7 from the charity stripe in the victory in addition to dishing out three assists and recording two steals. The double digit scoring effort was Borgertpoepping's six of the season and fourth in the team's the last seven contests.

The junior psychology major also gets the job done in the classroom, boasting a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.

Borgertpoepping and the Leathernecks look to upset another team at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 8 when they face No. 3 seed South Dakota State.
