The night begins at 5 p.m. with a silent auction, followed by two $500 cash raffles, a dinner buffet and concluding with a live auction featuring items ranging from sports memorabilia to vacation packages.

Tickets for the event cost $35, which includes dinner. Tables of eight (8) can be purchased for $250.

Now in its 21st year, the Purple & Gold Auction has become a catalyst in the fundraising efforts for the 20 Division I Leatherneck Athletics teams. A portion of the funds raised in the 2010 auction have been earmarked to assist with necessary renovations to the departments weight training facility. Earlier this spring the renovation was completed for the Athletics Academic Services office, thanks to funds raised by the Purple and Gold Gala.
