MACOMB, Ill. - The 2011 Western Illinois men's soccer schedule will begin on Saturday, August 20 with an exhibition against Graceland  but that will not be the only event that weekend.

Join head men's soccer coach Dr. Eric Johnson and soccer alumni for a weekend full of activities. There will also be a birthday celebration for former coach John MacKenzie who will be turning 75. MacKenzie spent 29 seasons coaching the Purple & Gold and led the fundraising for the soccer field that bears his name. The legendary coach was named Midwest Coach of the Year in 1988 and 1995.

Prior to the exhibition match there will be alumni games beginning at 1 p.m. Following the match at MacKenzie Alumni Field there will be a social and celebration for MacKenzie's 75th birthday.

Sunday will feature a golf outing at Harry Mussatto Golf Course starting at 9 a.m. If you are interested in golfing, please contact Coach Johnson at (309) 298-1954.
