SOPHOMORE (2012): Led the Summit League in goals against (4) and goals against average (0.56) and ranked second in save percentage (.852)... Kappel appeared in eight games, recording six starts... she posted a 5-2 record with three shutouts... finished the season with 23 saves for a .852 save percentage and four goals against for a 0.56 goals against average... tallied a season high seven saves against Omaha on Oct. 19.

FRESHMAN (2011): Named Summit League Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 19, 2011)... 2011 Summit League Fall Academic All-League Distinguished Scholar... Kappel started 18 games in net for the Leathernecks... finished with a 2.04 goals-against average... 87 saves... .702 save percentage... four shutouts in 2011... her 87 saves is third in the Summit League and seventh all-time in program history... her four shutouts ranked third in the league... career-high 10 saves against NDSU on Oct. 9.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned All-Conference and All-Sectional honors during three varsity seasons... participated in the Olympic Development Program... helped lead her team deep into the Illinois State Tournament in 2009 and 2010, collecting a third-place finish in 2009 and a runner-up finish in 2010... the 2010 squad finished with just one loss... was the starting goalkeeper for Carl Sandburg since her freshman year.
