Mike Vucsko
Position: Volunteer Assistant

Mike Vucsko is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Western Illinois baseball team. He works primarily with the infielders as well as handling travel operations and arrangements.

This past season, he aided in a strong season had by shortstop Austin Cowen. Cowen was named Second Team All-Summit League.

He graduated from Lewis University with a degree in Criminal Justice. Vucsko helped Lewis to a 24-18 record last season, its first above .500 record since 2002. During his senior season he was named All-Academic GLVC and earned ABCA Midwest Region Gold Glove honors after committing just two errors in 170 chances for a team-high .988 fielding percentage. In addition, he was named to the All-GLVC Team.
