MACOMB, Ill. - The Western Illinois men's tennis team completed day one of their fall season opener, the 8th annual Art Peterson Invitational, on Friday (Sept. 7). Despite inclement weather throughout the day, the tournament was able to complete all doubles play.
Western saw success from the No. 3 pairing of Tim Worley and Christoph Haertel. The duo made it to the finals in the No. 3 pairing. They would fall to the pair from Wisconsin-Whitewater in a close one, 9-7.
Day two of the tournament will conclude tomorrow (Sept. 8), with singles play. Play will begin at 9 a.m. on the University Courts by Brophy Hall. A complete recap of the tournament will be available following the conclusion Saturday evening.
