MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois women's softball again took part of the annual We Care community service event on campus. This year's project involved mulching the landscaping areas along University Drive.

During the 2011-12 academic year, Fighting Leatherneck athletics donated a total of 2,940.5 hours, the equivalent of 122.5 days, of their time, and raised a total of $10,497 for various groups.
