MACOMB, Ill. - The Leatherneck men's tennis team hits the road this weekend for their second tournament of the fall as they compete in the Valparaiso Tennis Invitational in Valparaiso, Ind.

When: Friday, September 28 and Saturday, September 29
"I'm looking forward to this weekend, there will be a good bunch of teams at Valparaiso," said head coach Chris Kane. "We have not gone to their tournament in a couple of years so the players are looking forward to the tournament. This will be a good lead up to the ITA (ITA Midwest Regional) that we play later in October."
Last Time Out: The Leathernecks were last in action on September 7 and 8 as they hosted the Eighth Annual Art Peterson Invitational in Macomb. Western saw strong performances from Bradley Holt, Mitch Granger and Brandon Meeker, all winning their respective singles draws. Three other Leathernecks, Christoph Haertel, Tim Worley and Brett Furmanski, all made it to the finals of their respective singles draws.
