MANHATTAN, KS. - Leatherneck men's golf finished up the first 36 holes of the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate on Monday, October 1. Western currently sits in 9th place in the tournament with a two-round total of 660 (328, 332).
Individually for Western, junior Dan Bidle is leading through day one with a 163 (80,83). Bidle is tied for 22nd place. Coming in behind Bidle is senior Konrad Deka. Deka posted a 36-hole total of 164 (84, 80) to put him in a tie for 26th place.
Sophomore Nate Davis fired a 167 (83, 84) and finishes day one in a tie for 39th place. Ben Kilborn finishes up day one play with a 170 (81,89), which puts him in a tie for 43rd place. Rounding out the top five for Western is Tyler Thorman. The redshirt freshman shot a 171 (86, 85) and is in a tie for 46th place.
Playing as an individual for the Leathernecks is true-freshman Nick Steffens. Steffens fired an 83 in both rounds for a 166 and tied for 32nd place.
Final Round play will begin tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. Final results and analysis will be available following the conclusion of the tournament.
