OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Leatherneck men's golf concluded day one play at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate on Monday, October 15. Through the first 36 holes, Western is currently in 8th place in the 14-team field.
Individually for the Leathernecks, sophomore Nate Davis currently leads the way after posting a day-one score of 148 (73, 75). Junior Dan Bidle is one stroke behind Davis with a 149 (77, 72) through the first two rounds.
Senior Ben Kilborn fired a 153 (80, 73) on the first day of tournament play and is in a tie for 58th place.
Peter McKenzie had the lowest score of the fall thus far for Western during round two. The junior from Bloomington, Ill. fired a 69 and is currently in 73rd place through day one with a two round total of 158 (89, 69).
Rounding out individual play for the Purple & Gold is Carson Baugher. Playing in his first tournament of the fall, Baugher shot a 159 (75, 84) on day one and is currently tied for 74th place.
The final round of the Bill Ross Intercollegiate will begin at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow morning (Oct. 16). Final results and analysis will be available following the conclusion of the tournament.
