MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois women's soccer (11-4-0, 3-2-0) returns to Macomb for a Summit League matchup against Omaha (3-11-0, 3-1-0) this Friday (October 19). The match marks the final home match of the season and senior day for seven Leathernecks. Sarah Blaase, Katie Condon, Abby Davis, Kayse Flostrand, Miranda Graham, Kellie Julius and Kristin Kuhar will be honored 15 minutes prior to the 4 p.m. kickoff.
In action last weekend, the Leathernecks dropped matches to North Dakota State 2-1 on Friday (October 12) and to South Dakota State 2-0 on Sunday (October 14). Jordan Walgren netted the lone goal against the Bison off of a pass from Katie Condon. The losses caused Western to drop from first to fourth in the Summit League standings.
A LOOK AT THE MAVS: Newest Summit League member Omaha stands at 3-11-0 overall and 3-1-0 in conference play heading into the match...Danielle Archuleta paces the team in points with 11, goals with five, shots with 30 and shots on goal with 14...Anna Sibson has a team high four assists...Hannah Wampler, Jordyn Braun and Archuleta each have one game-winning goal on the year...Keeper Meaghan Clark has logged 1172:55 minutes in net tallying 71 saves, one shutout and three wins on the season...She has allowed 31 goals for a goals against average of 2.38.
SERIES HISTORY: In the only meeting in school history on October 20, 2011, Omaha played to a 1-0 shutout victory.
NATIONAL RANKINGS: The Leathernecks are currently ranked 18th nationally in scoring offense (2.4), 21st in save percentage (.863), 26th in goals-against average (.667), 32nd in won-lost-tied percentage (.733) and 43rd in shutout percentage (.467)...Sarah Hall is 19th in game winning goals with four on the season, while Kellie Julius is 108th in total assists with five and 131st in assists per game averaging 0.33...Keeper Laura Atkinson is 15th in save percentage (.882) and 32nd in goals-against average (.675).

in the 2012 Summit League Women's Soccer Preseason Poll. Western
Illinois tallied 22 points in the all Summit League coach vote. Oakland,
last year's Summit League Tournament Champion, was picked to finish
first with 61 points and regular season champions South Dakota State
took second with 59 points.
