MACOMB, Ill. - Various
promotions will highlight the upcoming Western Illinois Football game this
Saturday (Oct. 20) at Hanson Field against Indiana State. Most notably,
Daktronics is donating the use of a video board to use during the game.
The
DVX-101-20MT portable video board is 8x14 feet in dimensions and will be
located near the regular scoreboard on the north end of Hanson Field. The
production center will have one camera connected providing crowd shots and
other clips to highlight the game day experience at Hanson Field.
"Forbes recently recognized Daktronics as one of America's
Top 100 Most Trustworthy companies. They have generously donated equipment,
staff, and transportation of a portable video board for our October 20th
football game," said Director of Marketing Kelsey Homewood. "We had the
opportunity to tour the Daktronics facilities in Brookings, South Dakota, over
the weekend. Their staff has been extremely accommodating as we have explored
video board options. The video board component at intercollegiate athletics
events is almost a necessity in the game day experience, as it allows for the
traditional NCAA Division I football game day atmosphere and creates an
interactive experience for our fans. We are excited to work with other
departments on campus to utilize this great opportunity. A special thank you
goes to Daktronics for making it possible."
During
the Saturday night game, Leatherneck Athletics welcomes all Dads who will be on
campus as part of Dads' Weekend festivites. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at
Hanson Field. For ticket information call (309) 298-1190 or online at www.GoLeathernecks.com.
