MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois student-athletes and newly hired baseball head coach Ryan Brownlee attended the Lincoln Luncheon at Lincoln Elementary on Friday (October 19). The Leathernecks had lunch and visited with students aged kindergarten through third grade as a prize for their fundraising efforts.

The Lincoln Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) held a school-wide Walkathon fundraiser to increase funds for field trips, teacher material requests, author visits and other special events. All students individually collected sponsors and set goals for the amount of laps they could walk in a 30-minute time period. Students who were able to raise 150 dollars or more were rewarded with a pizza lunch with the Leathernecks.
