MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois junior Ryan Demming (Chicago/St. Rita) was tabbed by the College Football Performance Awards as an Honorable Mention selection for his effort last weekend along the defensive line.
Demming set a career-high making eight tackles in the game at home versus 21st-ranked Indiana State. He also recorded two tackles for a loss, accounting for part of the team's season-high 10.0 TFL. The defensive unit held ISU to 250 total yards of offense, a low total for the Leatherneck squad this year.
Overall
he is tied for the team lead with two sacks, and tied for second with 5.0
tackles for a loss. He has 28 total tackles to go with his team-leading four
quarterback hurries.
Western (3-4 overall, 1-3 Missouri Valley Football Conference) travels to Missouri State this Saturday, kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. Fans can listen to the game live on the radio or online at www.GoLeathernecks.com. The game will also be televised live to Mediacom cable subscribers.
