- Western Illinois diver Doug Ogilvie was named Summit League Athlete of the
Week for the fourth time in his Leatherneck career following his performance in
competition against Eastern Illinois and South Dakota at Brophy Hall Pool last
weekend.
The
sophomore contributed first place finishes in one-meter and three-meter diving
at the Friday (Jan. 18) tri-meet against Eastern Illinois and South Dakota. His
one-meter score of 314.85 is a Brophy Hall Pool record and qualifies him for
the NCAA Zones meet for the second year in a row.
On Saturday
(Jan. 19), in a tri-meet against the same teams, Ogilvie again earned first
place finishes in one-meter and three-meter diving. His three-meter score of
319.58 marks a new season personal best and brings him within a point of
qualifying for NCAA Zones.
The
Leathernecks return to the pool this Friday (Jan. 25) at Saint Louis. The meet
is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
