BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Fighting Leathernecks men's golf team finished 14th in the NYX Hoosier Invitational this weekend (April 6-7) after carding a three-round score of 898 (293, 310, 295).
Western's Ben Kilborn paced the Leathernecks with a team-best score of 224 (74, 78, 72) and a T-38th-place finish.
Nate Davis finished one stroke behind Kilborn and tied for 41st with a 225 (69, 79, 77), Peter McKinzie finished one stroke behind Davis and tied for 45th with a 226 (76, 78, 72), and Dan Bidle finished one stroke behind McKinzie and tied for 47th with a 227 (74, 75, 78).
Rounding out Western's top five was Matt Calder tied for 71st with a 77-80-74—231.
Invite hosts Indiana took the invite crown with a 850, while IU's Andrew Fogg finished first individually.
Western is back in action next Monday and Tuesday (April 15-16) with the Northwestern Invitational.
