Joe Dykstra,1994 - Known as Mr. Basketball at WIU and still holds the NCAA Division I consecutive free throw record at 64. He ranks third all-time for most free throw attempts in NCAA Division I history (663), and third all-time for most free throws made (587). Joe owns 15 WIU basketball records and ranks in numerous other WIU categories. He was a four-time Mid-Continent Conference First Team honoree and was twice named Mid-Con Player of the Year. He was named as a 1980 NCAA All-Region selection and received honorable mention on the 1981 Sporting News All-American team.
