MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois men's basketball head coach Jim Molinari announced the signing of freshman Jason Hawthorn (Houston, Texas/Ross Shaw Sterling) Wednesday.
Hawthorne joins the Leatherneck family after spending his high school career in Houston, Texas at Ross Shaw Sterling High School where he averaged 19 points, three rebounds, three steals and three assists per game during his senior season. He was tabbed Freshman MVP by his teammates in 2009, and earned All-District honors as a last season.
The Leathernecks roster now includes four seniors, three juniors, one sophomore and three freshman.
