MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois women's soccer (2-1-0) looks to build upon its best offensive start to a season in the history of the program in Mississippi this weekend. The Leathernecks have netted a total of 12 goals in their first three games, a number that is four better than the previous eight scored in the first three games in 2008.

Due to Hurricane Isaac, the Leathernecks' match at Jackson State scheduled for Friday (August 31) has been postponed. There is discussion of rescheduling the match on Monday (September 3). Western Illinois' match on Sunday at Mississippi Valley State is still on for Sunday (September 2) in Itta Benna, Miss.

Last week's Summit League 'Offensive Player of the Week' Miranda Graham led the Leathernecks in points tallying five in all. She netted two goals, one in each contest, and also notched an assist. Katie Condon scored two goals on two shots against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Friday (August 24) and Sarah Hall also had two find the back of the net against Arkansas-Little Rock on Sunday (August 26).
