NORMAL, Ill. - The Western Illinois women's golf team finished day one play at the Illinois State Redbird Classic on Saturday (Sept. 8). The Leathernecks sit 11th after day one with a two round total of 643 (318, 325).
Ashley Jeffers is tied for 33rd place after firing a two round total of 159 (78, 81). Just behind her in 37th place is senior Emily Brink. Brink, who red-shirted last season, has a two-round total of 160 (79,81).
Kristi Tschudin finished the day tied for 43rd place with a two-round total of 160 (79,81). Alexa Arent and Kelsea Visalli finished day one tied for 78th place. Both finished the afternoon with two-round scores of 177, respectively.
Western will conclude the Redbird Invitational tomorrow (Sept. 9). A full recap will be available after the conclusion of the tournament.
