MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois women's golf travels to Yorktown, Ind. this weekend to compete in the annual Ball State Cardinal Classic. The Cardinal Classic begins on Saturday (Sept. 22) and concludes on Sunday.

Course Information: The Players Club is a public 18-hole golf course often proclaimed as the best track in East Central Indiana. Winding through the beautiful homes of Woodland Trails, the course measures 6934 yards from the championship tees to 5395 yards from the ladies tees.
Last Season: Two Leathernecks saw great success in the 2011 Cardinal Classic. Kristi Tschudin and Ashley Jeffers both fired a two-round score of 152, respectively, to finish in a tie for 7th place. As a team Western finished the tournament in 6th place with a two-round total of 632.
Last Time Out: In the first tournament of the fall, Western had a 12th place finish at the Illinois State Redbird Classic. Ashley Jeffers, who tied for 31st place with a three-round total of 239, led the Purple & Gold.
