MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois softball kicked off its fall campaign with two wins over Sauk Valley Community College on Sunday (September 23).
The Leathernecks took game one 11-1 in five innings riding a strong performance from senior Kelsey Michelini in the circle who tallied ten strikeouts in the contest.Western's offense had a total of 11 hits, one from each student-athlete in the line-up.
Freshman Kacyee Hart and junior Hailey Bickford combined for the 11-0, six inning shut out in game two. The offense stayed hot knocking a total of 15 hits,
