Glenn Powell Tabbed As Papa John's Scholar-Athlete of the Week

MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois track & field student-athlete Glenn Powell was named Papa John's Scholar-Athlete of the Week for his performance on the track and in the classroom on Monday (Jan. 28).

The sophomore set the program record in the 60-meter hurdles for the second straight weekend.

Last weekend, Powell edged out the previous record of 8.29 by finishing in 8.28 seconds.

Then on Saturday at the Jack Jennett Invite at the University of Northern Iowa, Powell bested his old record with a time of 8.23 seconds.

In the classroom, Powell holds a 3.645 grade point average as a Construction Management major.
