ELMHURST, Ill. - Junior Nathaniel Marshall earned Summit League Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors, the conference announced on Tuesday.
The award is the second of the season and career for Marshall, who also won the weekly honor on Jan. 29.
Marshall set a career-best mark in the weight throw by winning at the Iowa Invitational with a toss of 65-07.50 (20.00m), best in the conference this season and second-best in Western history.
The mark also ranks 22nd in the nation, and was the fifth time this season he set a new personal best.
Marshall also finished third in the shot put at the Iowa Invitational with a mark of 52-00.00 (15.85m).
Over the weekend, Marshall and the Leathernecks will travel to South Dakota for the Summit League Championships on Sunday and Monday (Feb. 24-25).
