MACOMB, Ill. -
The Western Illinois football squad opened spring practice on Wednesday (March 20) at Hanson Field, the first of 15 scheduled sessions. It marked the opener for first-year head coach Bob Nielson.

Nielson, sophomore quarterback Hayden Northern and junior defensive back Martinez Davis gave their thoughts heading into practice #1.
