MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois Football will appear on the Big Ten Network when the Leathernecks travel to Minnesota for the September 14th contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. at TCF Bank Stadium.
The Leathernecks will play on the Big Ten Network for the first time since the 2010 season, a September 11th game at Purdue.
It will be the road opener for Western, and the start of a three-game homestand for the Gophers. Last year Minnesota went 6-7 overall, losing to Texas Tech in the Meineke Car Care Bowl. The Gophers open their 2013 season at home against UNLV, the Leathernecks’ next opponent following the game at Minnesota.
There will be a Western Illinois University Alumni Association tailgate event prior to the game. The social (location yet to be determined) and game ticket costs $30 per person.
