MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois baseball will hold its annual Fall Prospect Camp this October 13 on the campus of Western Illinois University. The camp is for high school participants that are currently in grades 9-12.
The camp is a unique opportunity to work with the current staff of the Leatherneck baseball program. The one-day camp will feature position specific instruction, position skill grading, arm grading, 60-yard dash timing, hitting and pitching instruction and various games.
“The entire Leatherneck baseball staff is really looking forward to our annual Prospect Camp that we hold in October,” said Leatherneck assistant coach Dusty Napoleon. “The camp provides exposure to players that are looking to play at the next level after high school. We are able to evaluate these players and give them instruction on how to better their game. We also are able to get to know these players on a personal level and let them know what Leatherneck baseball is about.”
The cost of the Prospect Camp is $125 which includes a full day of instruction, Western Illinois baseball t-shirt and a boxed lunch. The camp will take place at Alfred D. Boyer Stadium, the home of Fighting Leatherneck baseball.
