MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois volleyball has teamed up with the Macomb park District to host a Walk for Breast Cancer event that will take place Friday (Oct. 25) from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Veterans Park in Macomb.

"We are so happy to be partnering with the Macomb Park District for this event," head coach April Hall said. "This is a great way for us as a community and volleyball program to team up in not only raising awareness about breast cancer, but also donating some money toward research. The event is simple this year: you donate $5 to walk a lap (or more) with the WIU Volleyball team! Every donation goes directly toward breast cancer research in hopes that someday a cure will be discovered. The first 150 participants at the event will receive a free t-shirt. We hope to see as many people as we can out at Veteran's Park!"
