ELMHURST, Ill. – Western Illinois volleyball junior outside hitter Ann Miller was named to the Academic All-League team on Wednesday (Dec. 11). Miller is one of seven players in the league to earn the honor, which awards student-athletes for their performances in the classroom and on the court.

The Bettendorf, Iowa owns a 3.909 GPA majoring in Supply Chain Management. She has also been selected to the Academic Honor Roll as a Distinguished Scholar in her first two seasons at Western.

Last month Miller was named All-Summit League Honorable Mention after leading the Leathernecks in kills with 377, and finishing second on the team in digs with 316. Her 377 kills in 2013 ranks ninth on the program's single season kills list.

Miller was also named to The Summit League All-Tournament team after posting 16 kills and eight digs in Western's match against South Dakota (Nov. 22).

Through three seasons, Miller has totaled 919 kills and 2,776 attack attempts in Purple & Gold. The 2,776 attack attempts is the ninth most in a career at Western.
