Flowers, Crump Earn Preseason CFPA Honor

MACOMB, Ill. - A pair of Western Illinois football players were selected to their respective position's Preseason Watch List by the College Football Performance Awards. Sophomore running back Bryce Flowers (Pittsburg, CA) and senior wide receiver Terriun Crump (Country Club Hills, IL) were named, as announced by the organization.

Each week during the summer the CFPA will announce its Preseason Watch List by position. The list can be found on www.collegefootballperformance.com.

Flowers accounted for a team-leading 107.2 all-purpose yards per game, ranking him 62nd in the nation. He rushed for 804 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 5.4 yards per carry, and caught 19 passes for 332 yards and a touchdown.

In his college debut, Flowers rushed for 128 yards and two scores against Valparaiso. He recorded a season-high 192 rushing yards and two scores against Indiana State. During the regular season finale against Northern Iowa, Flowers caught an 87-yard touchdown pass which stands as the seventh-longest pass reception in Western Illinois history.  Flowers was named CFPA Honorable Mention 'Performer of the Week' following week four.

Three times during the season Flowers was selected as Missouri Valley Football Conference 'Newcomer of the Week' and earned a spot on the MVFC All-Newcomer Team following his freshman campaign.

Crump ended his junior year with 56 catches totaling 888 yards and five touchdowns. He was tied for eighth among the Leatherneck season 'Top 10' leaders in catches, ranked sixth in yards and tied for seventh registering three 100-yard receiving games.

The senior wide receiver set personal-highs with 10 catches totaling 183 yards and a score at South Dakota State. He also surpassed 100 yards against Illinois State (4 catches/122 yards) and in the playoffs at Coastal Carolina (5 catches/102 yards). Crump was one of the CFPA's selections as Honorable Mention Wide Receiver 'Performer of the Week' following week six.
