MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois women's tennis dropped to 1-16 overall in the 2012 season after future Summit League member Nebraska-Omaha got the best of them 7-0 on Monday (April 16).
No. 1 doubles duo of Ashley Rettger and Jessica Callahan recorded the only points for the Leathernecks falling 8-2 in their match, but the Mavericks dominated the rest of the field keeping their opponents off the board in singles play 6-0, 6-0 and in doubles play 8-0.
The win brings Nebraska-Omaha to 5-11 on the year.
The Leathernecks return to the court on Wednesday (April 18) against the Bradley Braves. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Brophy Courts.
