MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois head volleyball coach April Hall recently announced a new and exciting opportunity for young Leatherneck fans called the Lil' Leathernecks volleyball clinic. It is open to boys and girls ages 5-12.
"As a staff, we are really excited to host our first annual Lil'
Leathernecks Volleyball Clinic," said Hall. "We had such a great turnout for our
summer camps that we wanted to do even more to reach out to the
community. These camps are a great way for boys and girls to learn
fundamentals and get involved in Leatherneck volleyball. We look
forward to working with the community to make this a successful event."
There will be a pizza social following each session, and the Lil' Leathernecks will perform between sets two and three at the Grand Finale session at the Western Illinois volleyball match versus Fort Wayne on Friday, November 9. The event will cost $65 per participant.
There will be a total of three clinics and the dates are below:
Sunday, September 30 from 2-4 p.m.
Saturday, October 6 from 9-11 a.m.
Sunday, October 21 from 2-4 p.m.
Don't miss the chance
to have your son or daughter, ages 5-12, meet and work with the 2012
Fighting Leatherneck volleyball team and staff. What better way to serve
your child's passion for the game and Western Illinois University
volleyball than to have them work on their skills on the very court
their favorite athletes play on.
To register, send check or money order to 'Western Illinois Volleyball'. A confirmation email will be sent upon registration.
