MACOMB, Ill. - The Western Illinois women's tennis team get's their fall season underway at home as they host the 7th Annual Hinds-Kellogg Invitational on Friday (Oct. 5) and Saturday (Oct. 6).
"We've been practicing hard," said third-year head coach Chris Kane. "But, we have a lot of new players so I really don't know what to expect this weekend."
The Leathernecks prepare for a field of teams that includes: Olivet Nazarene, Roosevelt, Lindenwood, Wisconsin-Whitewater, and Missouri-St. Louis.
"This will be a tournament to see what we have," continued Kane, "We will look to see how people perform in competition. I'm just looking to be educated this weekend. We have a very strong field and it will certainly be challenging."
