Western Illinois Student-Athletes Walk in December Graduation Ceremony

MACOMB, Ill. - Twenty-four Leatherneck student-athletes walked across the stage this Saturday (December 15) and earned their respective undergraduate degrees.

"We are extremely proud of the 24 Leatherneck student-athletes who have earned degrees this December," Director of Athletics Dr. Tim Van Alstine said. "It speaks volumes for the commitment our coaches have made to bring in individuals who are able to succeed not only on the field of play but also in the classroom. These student-athletes have shown a great amount of dedication. We hope that they go on to lead successful lives and remember that they are always a member of the Leatherneck family."

The football team will see eight student-athletes receive degrees followed by baseball, which will have four graduate. Men's golf, men's tennis, men's soccer, men's swimming and diving and softball each have two graduates apiece, while women's golf and women's track and field each have one.
