LAST TIME OUT: Western Illinois suffered its third straight loss by one possession when it had the ball at the end of the game to either tie or win... The Leathernecks dropped a 56-54 game at Chicago State on Tuesday... Charnelle Reed led the team in scoring netting 15 points... Ashley Luke nearly had another double-double, finishing with 13 points and a game-high tying nine rebounds... Saule Kontautaite scored all 10 of her points in the second half... Western committed 20 turnovers, shot for 20 percent from 3-point range (6-of-30), and made just 4-of-9 free throws... The Leathernecks did hold a 41-34 edge in rebounds.

LUKE SHY OF ANOTHER DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Redshirt-freshman Ashley Luke nearly recorded her second straight double-double, finishing with 13 points/9 rebounds at Chicago State... Luke has now scored in double-figures 10 times in the last 12 games (all 10 of her occurrences this year), and came close to recording her third double-double of the season... Over that 12-game span she is shooting 54.7 percent (58-of-106) from the field, averaging 11.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.
HENRICSON TAKES THE POINT: Junior point guard Rebecca Henricson continues to rank among The Summit League leaders in assists while making a name for herself nationally in protecting the basketball... Henricson enters this weekend fourth averaging 3.8 assists per game, while ranking second in assist/turnover ratio at 1.9 (80 assists/42 turnovers). Henricson stands 41st nationally in the ratio... Henricson has shown off her defense as well, now tied for eighth in the league averaging 1.7 steals per game... Over the past six games, Henricson has recorded 32 assists (including a career-high 11 at North Dakota State) to only 10 turnovers.
NATIONALLY SPEAKING: Western Illinois women's basketball is currently nationally ranked 16th in 3-point field goals made per game (7.8), 39th in assists per game (15.7), 65th in 3-point shooting percentage (.330), 35th in personal fouls per game (13.9) and 64th in assist to turnover ratio (0.92)... Rebecca Henricson ranks 41st nationally in assist/turnover ratio (1.90)... IUPUI held Western to 23.3 percent shooting from the field, just 1-of-14 from 3-point range and held a +14 edge in rebounds... Western also committed 21 turnovers but did block seven shots... Rebecca Henricson led the scoring with nine points... Michele Salvatori grabbed seven rebounds... Ashley Luke had seven points and six rebounds... SCOUTING THE JAGUARS: IUPUI brings a 5-3 Summit League record into the game Saturday, currently in third place... The Jaguars edged Kansas City in the final seconds but then dropped a 20-point contest to South Dakota on Saturday... DeAirra Goss leads the scoring attack at 13.4 points per game, followed close behind by Kerah Nelson at 13.1 ppg... Katie Comello also averages in double-figures at 10.0 with a team-leading 42 assists... Shawnece Teague's 18 blocks are more than doubled the next closest Jaguar... The team is not a big threat from 3-point range, shooting 28 percent, but is holding opponents to just 27.8 percent accuracy... IUPUI also holds a +3 advantage on the glass and is out-scoring teams by four points (65.2-61.0).
