ROCKFORD, Ill. - Western Illinois men's tennis dropped a 7-0 decision to Northern Illinois at the Boylan Tennis Center on Saturday (Feb. 23).
The Huskies improve to 7-3 on the season, while the Leathernecks fall to 7-9 overall with the loss.
Western battled during each doubles match, led by the duo of Ben Yue and Chris Bunch falling 8-6 at second doubles.
The teams of Bradley Holt and Mitch Granger (first doubles) and Max Cederkall and Brandon Meeker (third doubles) each lost 8-4.
Holt was also the lone Leatherneck to win a set, falling at No. 1 singles by a mark of 6-2, 6-7, 10-6.
Cederkall (6-3, 6-1 loss at fourth singles) and Bunch (6-3, 6-4 loss at fifth singles) also won multiple games, despite the losing efforts.
Western is back in action tomorrow, traveling to Southern Illinois for a 3 p.m. contest.
