The purposes of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) are to enhance communication and increase cooperation among all persons involved in the Intercollegiate Athletics Program, as well as to promote and maintain the individual rights of the student-athletes.

The 22-member committee is comprised of one representative from each sport. Sport representatives are required to be active student-athletes, be listed as eligible on the team roster and adhere to the team's code of conduct.

The committee meets bi-monthly during the school year. All athletes are welcome and are encouraged to attend the meetings. Any athlete with a concern should request that his or her sport representative, or any SAAC member, place the item on the next agenda. The student-athlete may also attend the meeting and bring up the matter as new business.

SAAC has completed an instructor survey to assess if instructors are athlete-friendly regarding class absences. Please see your head coach for more details.

Two members of SAAC, Heather Smith and Jessica Przyby, serve as Senators in the  Student Government Association (SGA).
