MACOMB, Ill. -
Western Illinois men's basketball head coach Jim Molinari recently announced the signing of 6-6, forward and Elbert, Co. native Adam Link (Falcon High School/
Otero Junior College) to a national letter of intent.

"We are extremely excited about adding Adam Link to our basketball family," said head coach Jim Molinari. "He is long, athletic, and versatile. Adam comes from a very good family, and a winning basketball program at Otero (Junior College) under coach
Houston Reed. Otero went to the NJCAA National Tournament this year and Adam was very important part of their success."

The junior forward joins the Leatherneck men's basketball program after helping Otero Junior College (Colorado) to a 30-4 record last season, a Region IX title, and a trip to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.

Last season, the Elbert, Co. native was tabbed First Team All-Region, and earned a spot on the NJCAA National Tournament All-Tournament Team. In the three games he played in the NJCAA National Tournament, Link averaged 12.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.

Link played in 33 games for the Rattlers, averaging 12.8 points per game while shooting 61% from the floor. He also averaged 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game last season.

Adam plans to pursue a pharmacy degree after his collegiate/professional career is complete, and plans to major in chemistry with the pharmacy option at Western Illinois.
