MACOMB, Ill. - Members of the Western Illinois Athletics Department staff, coaches and University administration will make an appearance at the Coaching Caravan stop on Monday, July 9th in the Quad Cities. Representatives from Western will be in attendance at the Quad Cities River Bandits game versus Clinton, first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.
Head football coach Mark Hendrickson, women's basketball head coach JD Gravina, men's basketball head coach Jim Molinari, head softball coach Holly Van Vlymen and volleyball head coach April Hall are scheduled to appear. Athletics Director Dr. Tim Van Alstine, additional members of the Leatherneck coaching staff, and University administration are scheduled to be at the game.
"We are looking forward to the upcoming Coaching Caravan stop in the Quad Cities at Modern Woodmen Park. Summer is always a busy time with our coaches on the road recruiting, I appreciate them taking time out of their hectic schedules to make an appearance at this event," said Van Alstine. "This is the first time we have put together an event of this scale, so I hope we have great weather for the game and a good turnout from media members and fans alike."
