9. Women's Basketball drains a single-game record 15 3-point field goals in a win over Oakland
When the Leatherneck women played host to Oakland on February 5th, it was one of those nights where the team just couldn't miss from long range. Led by Saule Kontautaite's personal-high six 3-pointers and another five from Sadie Webb, Western finished 15-of-28 from beyond the arc (.536). As Western was on fire, Oakland wasn't, finishing 0-for-6 from long distance.
The 33-point margin of victory over a Division I opponent was the largest since beating Centenary 83-37 on December 31, 2005. The 15 triples surpassed the previous record of 14 against Illinois-Springfield in December 2009.
