ELMHURST, Ill. - Kurt Slattery has been named Summit League co-Golfer of the Week. Slattery won the Detroit Titans Invitational last weekend in Highland, Mich. with a 209 (73, 70, 66). Four of his last six rounds have been under par.
The senior earns his second career Summit League honor after recording two eagles during the final round on Saturday including one from 125 yards on the second hole.
The round of 66 was a career low on his way to collecting his first individual title.
Slattery was named Summit League Golfer of the Week on April 12 after a ninth-place finish at the NYX Hoosier Invitational.
Western will begin play at The 2012 Summit League Championships on Monday, April 23 in Primm, Nev. at Primm Valley Golf Club (The Desert Course). Last season, Slattery led the Leathernecks with a tie for 14th as he carded a 221 (77, 71, 73).
