PRIMM, Nev. - Play has begun at The Summit League Championships and Western Illinois is in fifth after the first day with a 577 (285, 292). Tim Harwood leads the way as he is tied for sixth with a 141 (69, 72). Ben Kilborn is also in the top ten with a 142 (73, 69), which is tied for ninth.
Ben Engle of IUPUI leads the way with an impressive 132 (62, 70) to help the Jaguars lead the way with a team score of 556 (265, 291).
Andrew Godfrey carded a 148 (73, 75) and is tied for 29th. Kurt Slattery is tied for 38th after he shot an uncharacteristic second round score of 80 to finsih with a 150 (70, 80). Nate Davis is also tied for 38th with a 150 (74, 76).
The team round of 285 is lowest at Championships for Western since 2009 (281) and Harwood's and Kilborn's rounds of 69 are the lowest since Kyle Peterman in 2009 (68).
