PEORIA, Ill. - The Fighting Leatherneck women's golf team concluded competition in the Hotels at Grand Prairie Invitational in Peoria, Ill. Saturday and finished sixth overall with a team score of 973 (321, 321, 331).
Earning the top spot of the Bradley
University hosted event was Northern Iowa after carding a score of 908. Individually, UNI's Brittany Atterbury topped all
golfers with a score of 209.
Leading the Leathernecks with a team-best score of 238 was sophomore Kristi
Tschudin who finished tied for 13th overall. The next best score for the Leathernecks was freshman Jessica
Knepp who tallied 243 and tied for 24th.
Rounding out the team's score was junior Alexa
Arent who finished with a score of 246 and tied for 32nd, freshman Ashley
Jeffers who scored a 247 and tied for 34th, and senior Samantha
Hainline who recorded a 261 and finished 51st.
Finishing individually for Western was freshman Nikki
Tatham who finished tied for 20th with a score of 241.
The Leathernecks will take part in the Creighton Invitational starting Monday, April 16th, in Omaha, Neb.
