MACOMB, Ill. -
The Western Illinois women's golf program has signed of three golfers in
Allison Farrell (Geneseo, Ill./Geneseo), Marissa Juliana (Kansas City, Mo./Liberty) , and Julie Whalen (London, Ontario/St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic SS) to the Leatherneck family as announced by head coach Lia Biehl Lukkarinen.


Allison Farrell
Hometown - Geneseo, Ill.
High School - Geneseo

Four-year Quad Cities Dispatch All-Metro Team...Four-year First Team All-Conference...2010 Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference Medalist...2011 IHSA Regional Medalist in 2011...Three-time sectional qualifier...Three-time State Qualifier...Finished 24th in state as a senior...Named 2011 Quad Cities Dispatch Pacesetter...Three-year Team MVP...Named 'Most Dedicated Player' of her team four times.

Daughter of Ron and Lisa Farrell...Has one younger sister Ashley...Plans on majoring in marketing and a minor in fashion marketing.

Marissa Juliana
Hometown - Kansas City, Mo.
High School - Liberty

Four-year varsity golfer...Three-year State qualifier...Conference Champion her Senior year...District Champion her junior and senior years...National Honor Society...High school GPA of 3.85 which is in the upper 25% of her graduating class.

Daughter of
Jesse and Terri...Has a younger brother Ross...Plans on majoring in Business.

"She is a standout from this very competitive area.  Her swing fundamentals and tournament experience will be a great fit for transitioning to the D-1 level.  I anticpate her being able to contribute to the program right away."

Hometown - London, Ontario
High School - St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic SS
 
Named Most Valuable Player on basketball and golf teams...Also a member of the volleyball and badminton teams...Named 'Athlete of the Year' her senior year...Awarded the 2011 Eileen Ferris Scholarship...St. Thomas Aquinas nominee for the Spectra Award for her combination of athletic ability and leadership...Winner of Thomas Championship in London and the Woodland Links Junior
Invitational in Clinton...Tied for second in the Western Ontario High School
championships...Tied for 35th at the Ontario Jr. Championship.

Daughter of Toby and Terry Whalen...Has two older brothers...Julie plan on majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition.
