Final Round of Bison Invitational Cancelled

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The final round of the Bison Invitational has been cancelled due to poor weather conditions. The third round began Saturday morning, but the strong gusts of wind did not allow for the golfers to complete the invite, and all third round scores will be disregarded.

The Western Illinois women's golf team finished 13th after the two rounds of the Bison Invitational in Vegas with a score of 664 (333, 331).

Summit League foe Oral Roberts finished first with two-round score of 614 (309, 305). Individually,  Crystal Reeves of ORU and Northern Iowa's Brittany Atterbury finished tied for first with scores of 152.

The Leathernecks were led by freshman Ashley Jeffers who is tied for 31st with a score of 162 after a first round of 82, and an 80 in the second round.

Senior Samantha Hainline finished tied for 47th with a score of 166 (82, 84), and sits second out of all her Leatherneck teammates, while sophomore Kristi Tschudin finished tied for 60th with a score of 168 (84, 84) and holds the third best Western Illinois score.

Rounding out Western's top-5 was freshman Jessica Knepp and junior Alexa Arent who each carded a score of 172 and sit tied for 77th.

Individually, freshmen Nikki Tatham and Abby Ball each finished with a 184 (99th) and  a 190 (102), respectively.
