Women's Tennis Inks Natalia Bravo

The Colombia native is expected to join the Leathernecks this fall

MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois head women's tennis coach Mirko Bjelica announced the signing of Natalia Bravo on Monday (May 16). Bravo, a native of Bogota, Colombia has signed her National Letter of Intent and is expected to join the Leathernecks this fall.
 
"Natalia is a young, athletic girl full of potential. She has had a good deal of experience playing in junior international tennis tournaments and is also ranked in the ITF Junior Circuit," said Bjelica. "I am more than excited that she has chosen to join our tennis team. Recruits like Natalia give us a good reason to look forward to the next academic year and our tennis team's accomplishments."
 
In 2015, Bravo made it to the quarterfinals in doubles in the Copa Liga de Tenis De Bogata ITF tournament. In the same tournament, she made it to the 32nd round in singles play. Also in singles play, she made it to the 16th round of the El Sauce Cup.
 
She has been ranked as high as 1,677 in the ITF rankings. She was also ranked 25th in Colombia and 30th in Texas G14s.
